On July 29, in the centre of Volgograd, a flash mob was held in support of Aslan Yandiev, accused of involvement in a series of terror acts in North Ossetia. Activists of the human rights association "Vaifund" took part in the action.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Aslan Yandiev, an Ingush native of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, was detained in Slovakia at the request issued by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Since 2011, he was kept under extradition arrest. On July 17, Aslan Yandiev was extradited to Moscow. He is accused of involvement in a series of terror acts in Vladikavkaz.

Earlier, Timur, a brother of Aslan Yandiev, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the suspect suffers from a severe chronic illness of his gastrointestinal tract. The defendant's brother claims that prisoners testified against his brother under torture and that later they confessed to that.

On July 29, in the centre of Volgograd, seven activists were in turn holding in their hands the poster reading: "#SAVEASLANYANDIEV", and made photos with it.

"The initiative to hold a flash mob in support of Aslan Yandiev was voiced by the Chechen charity and human rights association Vaifund," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Volgograd activist Vladimir Kruglyakov.

According to him, "Aslan Yandiev is a man who was deported from Slovakia to Russia against the UN position."
