CTO introduced in Buynaksk District becomes the second one during a month

In the territory of the Buynaksk District in Dagestan, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been introduced for the second time in September. In the Kumtorkala District, the special operation became the first one in 2018.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at 6:30 a.m. Moscow time of today, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the Buynaksk and Kumtorkala Districts. Law enforcers began searching for militants on the territory.

Earlier, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the Buynaksk District on September 15 and lifted on the same day. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported that three militants were killed in the course of a shootout in the village of Talgi.

In the Kumtorkala District, the CTO legal regime had been earlier introduced for the period from January 30 to February 4, 2016. No information on its results was ever reported.

In Dagestan, the special operation announced today has become the ninth one since early 2018.
