Georgian woman detained on South-Ossetian border
The authorities of the Gori municipality have appealed to the European Union's observation mission in connection with the detention of a resident of the village of Khurvaleti on the Georgian-South Ossetian border.
Maya Otinashvili, 37, was detained by Russian law enforcers on September 29 near the village of Khurvaleti of the Gori municipality, the "1tv.ge" reports with reference to the Georgian State Security Service (SSS).
According to Otinashvili's fellow villagers, she was detained near the dividing line, the "InterPressNews" informs.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 28, five Tbilisi residents, who were making a trip to the Trusov Gorge, were detained near the demarcation line. They were later released after paying a fine.
