Azerbaijan claims shelling of two villages in Karabakh conflict zone

Over the past day, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled 27 times, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 11, Azerbaijan claimed 25 cases of shelling of its positions in the conflict zone, and a day earlier, on October 10, 28 cases of shelling. In turn, Nagorno-Karabakh claimed 150 attacks from the Azerbaijani side during the week from September 30 to October 6.

From the morning on October 11 to the morning on October 12, the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated 27 times. The positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Gyzylgadjyly in the Gazakh District, in the village of Zamanly and on nameless heights in the Gedabek District, as well as on nameless heights in the Tovuz District were shelled from large-calibre machine guns, the Azerbaijani MoD reports today on its website.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled from the territory of Armenia and from the positions located "near the occupied villages."

Today, as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh had not posted any statements regarding the shelling information in their official websites.
