Azerbaijan report 28 shelling attacks in conflict zone

Within the past 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 28 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

On November 11, Azerbaijan counted 25 shelling attacks on its positions during the past 24 hours. In its turn, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh announced more than 120 attacks on the positions of its Defence Army committed by Azerbaijan during the week of November 4-10.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the number of attacks fixed by Azerbaijan sharply decreased after September 28, when Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan agreed to create a mechanism to prevent ceasefire violations. However, Togrul Djuvarly, a member of the Azerbaijani National Public Committee for European Integration, believes that if after the elections of the new Cabinet of Ministers in Armenia, negotiations with Azerbaijan fail to start, the situation on the troops contact line may again aggravate.
