Pamiatoi head of administration killed by Russian military man
The killing of the head of administration of Pamiatoi, Shatoi district, on the night of 28 November was committed by a federal military man.
This is what a source with Chechnya's law enforcement agencies told Caucasian Knot's correspondent. According to the interlocutor, Mr Sultan Demilkhanov was killed by an officer of the military commandant's office of the republic's Shatoi district.
"Sultan Demilkhanov, head of administration of the village of Pamiatoi, was killed at about 3.00 a.m. on 28 November at a polling station in Nokhch-Keloi. The killing was committed by Dmitry Arnautov, a serviceman of the Shatoi district military commandant's office," says the interlocutor. "This occurred in the presence of numerous eyewitnesses and Demilkhanov's bodyguards. Evidence in this case has been transferred to the military prosecutor's office for further investigation."
It was earlier reported that unidentified attackers had shot at the car in which Mr Sultan Demilkhanov drove on a road in the mountains from Nokhch-Keloi to Pamiatoi.
