Well-known Russian musician speaks in support of Oyub Titiev

Russian musician Boris Grebenschikov, who collaborates with the NGO "Amnesty International" (AI), has voiced his support for Oyub Titiev, involved as a defendant in a criminal case in Chechnya, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since January 11, Oyub Titiev, the head of the Grozny office of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", has been under arrest on charges of drug possession. He asserts that the drugs were planted on him by law enforcers.

Today, the HRC "Memorial" has published a photo of Boris Grebenschikov showing a sheet of paper with the AI's logo and a portrait of Oyub Titiev.

Another photo, also published on the "Memorial" channel in Telegram, shows the text of the Boris Grebenschikov's appeal to Oyub Titiev, written on a sheet of paper with the AI's logo.

"I wish you be strong and patient. We support you. The light always conquers the darkness. God bless you. B. G.," the musician wrote in his address to the rights defender.
