Azerbaijan claims 26 cases of shelling in conflict zone

Positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Karabakh conflict zone, including in two border villages, have been shelled, reports today the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that over a day from January 2 to January 3, Azerbaijan registered 30 attacks in the Karabakh conflict zone.

On January 3-4, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled 26 times, including in the villages of Bala Jafarli in the Gazakh District and Zamanly in the Gadabay District, reports today the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

Today, by 8:55 a.m. Moscow time, the official websites of the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet commented on the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD. On December 31, 2018, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh declared that in 2018, the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire regime more than 10,000 times.
