Information about death of arrested ex-minister of public health of Azerbaijan was not true
Information about death of Ali Insanov, former Health Minister, was not confirmed, runs the message of the Public Relations Centre of the Ministry of National Security (MNS) of Azerbaijan.
Note that today some media said that the health state of Ali Insanov, former Health Minister, aggravated sharply at night of June 12, and he died.
In his turn, Togrul Babayev, Insanov's lawyer, has also overturned the information, stating that the former minister was alive, but still with certain health problems. According to the lawyer, he had just seen his client on that very day.
Adyl Ismailov, lawyer of another arrested minister - Farkhad Aliev, ex-head of the Ministry of Economic Development, said after seeing his client that the investigation was deliberately protracted. If the situation persists, his defendant will go on a timeless hunger strike.
Note that on July 6-7, F. Aliev held a 48-hour hunger strike in protest against investigation delay and his arrest.
We remind you that Ali Insanov and Farkhad Aliev were arrested in October 2005 and have been kept since at the Trial Prison (SIZO) of the MNS of Azerbaijan. They were accused of an attempt of a coup d'etat.
