Azerbaijan registers shelling attacks on two villages

Over the past 24 hours, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled about 30 times, including the positions in four areas bordering Armenia, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 24, Azerbaijan registered 27 shelling attacks over 24 hours.

"The units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 30 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Kokhnegyshlag in the Agstafa District, in the village of Agbulag in the Tovuz District and at the nameless heights in the Gazakh and Gadabay Districts were shelled.

As at 10:45 a.m. Moscow time, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their websites any comments regarding the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
