Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of machine gun fire

Over the past 24 hours, units of the Armenian armed forces 24 times violated the ceasefire, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 26, Azerbaijan registered 27 shelling attacks, including in three villages, over 24 hours.

"Units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 24 times violated the ceasefire regime in various directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the villages of Kemerli and Gaimagly in the Gazakh District and in the village of Asrik Djyrdakhan in the Tovuz District were shelled.

As at 10:20 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their official websites any comments concerning the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
