NKR accuses Azerbaijan of 140 attacks within the week

During the week of June 9-15, Azerbaijani soldiers shelled the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) from small arms and grenade launchers, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the NKR has informed.

On June 2-8, the NKR fixed 250 cases of ceasefire violation in the conflict zone.

Over the past seven days, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime for 140 times, having fired more than a thousand shots, the NKR's MoD has claimed. According to the ministry, five grenade launcher shots were fired at the positions of the Defence Army.

According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", over the same period, the Azerbaijani MoD counted 115 shelling attacks on its positions conducted both from the territory under the control of the NKR authorities and from Armenia.

On June 9-15, two soldiers perished in the conflict zone: on June 9, Elshan Khalilov, an Azerbaijani military; and on June 13, Artyom Khachatryan, a military serviceman of the NKR's Defence Army. Besides, on June 13, Azerbaijan declared a missile attack during the exercises held in the border with the NKR. In its turn, the unrecognized republic (NKR) declared violation of the flight zone by Azerbaijani aviation.
