Azerbaijani border guards reported wounded military
Armenian Armed Forces have shelled Azerbaijani positions and wounded a serviceman, the Azerbaijani State Border Service has reported.
The incident occurred on July 31 at 4:40 p.m. local time. Armenian militaries shelled the positions of the "Gazakh" border combat point; the Azerbaijani side fired back, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent quotes the report of the Azerbaijani State Border Service.
In the course of the shootout, a soldier of the State Border Service was wounded; he was rendered medical care; his life is out of danger, the Service has reported.
After the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in April 2016, the parties agreed on the ceasefire. Despite the agreement, over two years, the parties claimed daily shelling attacks in the conflict zone, as it follows from the infographic "Karabakh after the truce: a two-year war" prepared by the "Caucasian Knot". After the meeting of officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia and Azerbaijan, held on June 20, Azerbaijan stated an almost complete cessation of shelling attacks; however, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh continues to register violations of the ceasefire.
