Azerbaijan claims machine-gun shelling attacks in conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 20 times during a day, including from machine guns, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reported.

On August 5 to 6, the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated 20 times, and the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the villages of Guschu Airym, Ashagy Askipara, and Gyzyl Gadjily in the Gazakh District fell under fire, the Azerbaijani MoD reported. The fire from heavy machine guns came both from the side of Armenia and from the areas considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories.
