Third suspect of attempt on Tumso arrested in absentia
The court of the Swedish city of Gävle has arrested in absentia another person whom investigators treat as participant in the attack on the Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 26, in Sweden, the well-known Chechen blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, was attacked by a man who penetrated his apartment with a hammer. Abdurakhmanov managed to disarm the attacker and called the police. On March 3, it became known that the blogger had recognized the attacker from the photos in the page on the social network.
On March 9, the inquiry into the attempt was transferred to the Swedish National Security Service (SAPO, or Säkerhetspolisen in Swedish). According to Teresa Stensson, a Swedish prosecutor, one of the versions of the attack is an "order from Russia."
On June 11, the Gävle Regional Court ruled to arrest in absentia a man suspected of assisting in the attempted murder.
In connection with the crime committed in late February, two people have already been arrested; one of whom is suspected of an attempted murder, and the other – of complicity, says the post on the website of the Swedish SAPO.
