Social network users call on to punish Abkhazian President's aide after incident on Russian border

Akhra Avidzba, the aide to the President of Abkhazia, who rammed a gate at a border checkpoint in the Russian Federation, explained that he had to do that after waiting for many hours at the border.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 1, the restrictions were lifted on crossing the border between Russia and Abkhazia, imposed earlier because of the spread of the coronavirus infection. About 30,000 people cross the border every day. On August 7, an SUV entered Abkhazia from Russia through opening a gate with a bumper. The car was driven by the aide to the President of Abkhazia, the project "Baza" reported.

Akhra Avidzba explained that he decided to break through the border after Russian border guards did not let him enter Abkhazia for five hours, the RBC reports. "The gate opened from the impact of the car," he said. The official claims that one of the Russian border guards behaved in a provocative way.

Meanwhile, Akhra Avidzba does not deny his debts, because of which the Russian border guards did not want to let him cross the border.

The awards and the high position do not give Akhra Avidzba the right not to pay taxes and ignore the demands of the Russian border guard service, Instagram users note. They called on to ban Akhra Avidzba from entering Russia and punish him as a border violator.

"It is an example of unacceptable behaviour for a public officer. He should be banned from entering Russia for two years," wrote user alexandrburton.
