Economists find information about Kadyrov's income inaccurate
Ramzan Kadyrov, who declared 147.9 million roubles of income in 2019, distinguished himself among the leaders of other regions, whose official incomes usually did not exceed several million roubles. Economists suggest that the actual income of the Chechen leader is difficult to assess, but it is much higher than the declared one.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2019, according to the declaration filed by the leader of Chechnya, his income amounted to 147.9 million roubles, almost 20 times higher than his income for 2018. The spouse of Ramzan Kadyrov increased her income by 40 times over the year. Instagram users expressed their interest in sources of the rapid increase in the income of Ramzan Kadyrov and his family members.
For 2019, Ramzan Kadyrov declared the highest income among the leaders of the regions in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and the Southern Federal District (SFD).
The sharp increase in the official income of Ramzan Kadyrov may be explained by the fact that he does not want to hide it or does not know how to do that, economist Natalia Zubarevich suggests.
Economist Sergey Zhavoronkov believes that the actual income of the Chechen leader is much higher than it follows from his declaration. The Ramzan Kadyrov's official income may increase as a result of the sale of any property, but such a fact should be reflected in the declaration, the expert notes.
