At the process of the persons accused of killing peaceful Chechnya residents, Khudyakov was identified by his eyes
Today, the North Caucasian Regional Military Court has continued the proceedings of the case of interior troops officers Evgeniy Khudyakov and Sergey Arakcheev, accused of murdering Chechnya residents.
The court has heard 4 victims - relatives of those perished in January 2003, and three witnesses on the part of the prosecution. Witness Shamil Yunusov has evidenced that on January 15, 2003, not far from the "Severny" Airport his "Volga" was stopped by people in masks. The road was blocked by an armoured troop-carrier. The militaries ordered the passengers to get out of the car. Mr. Yunusov was detained; they robbed him of his porte-monnaie with 7000 roubles and a golden ring, and then made several shots from the sub-machine gun at the tires and body of the car. At the trial, Yunusov has stated that identifies defendant Khudyakov by his eyes and brows (at the moment of detaining the "Volga" car Khudyakov was in a mask).
The court has also interrogated the young woman who was in Yunusov's car, but she could not confirm that Khudyakov was the person who stopped the "Volga" car.
The next court session was appointed on January 18, where they will continue to interrogate the prosecution witnesses.
