Five persons blown up by a mine in Agdam District

A group of six Azerbaijani citizens wanted to get to the village of Yusifdjanly in the Agdam District. Five of them triggered an anti-personnel mine: two were killed and three were wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of February 9, the number of Azerbaijanis who had got blown up by mines reached 74, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has reported. On February 18, these victims were complemented by Bakhtiyar Makhmudov, a native of the Lachin District, who died in the Terter District. On February 22, Niyameddin Verdiev, a resident of the village of Borsunlu, lost his leg in a mine explosion.

Six civilians got blown up by an anti-personnel mine in the Agdam District. The incident occurred in the village of Yusifdjanly, which is located in the territory that came under Azerbaijan's control in accordance with the agreement signed on November 10, 2020, the "oxu.az" reports.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Azerbaijan, Akif Guseinov, his sons Razi, Bairam and Anar, living in the village of Efetli, Agdam District, as well as their neighbour, Bakhruz Abdulov, wanted to enter the forbidden territory to visit their relatives' graves. As a result of the explosion, three were wounded; and two died from their wounds. There was also a minor in the group, he did not suffer, the "haqqin.az" writes.
