Two journalists die in Azerbaijan at mine explosion

Magerram Ibragimov, a correspondent of the "Azertadj", and Siradj Abyshov, a cameraman, perished in a mine explosion in the Kelbadjar District. Emil Mamedov, a director from the "AzTV", a car driver and a local resident were wounded.

The APA News Agency has confirmed that the two above media professionals were killed by a mine explosion while working in the Kelbadjar District. The cameraman of the "AzTV", Siradj Abyshov was born in 1989; and Magerram Ibragimov (Alioglu) worked for the "Azertadj".

Emil Mamedov, an "AzTV" director, a bus driver and a local resident have also suffered, the "Azertadj" reports with reference to Nigyar Etibar, the press secretary of the CJSC "Azerbaijani TV and Radio Broadcasting".

Let us remind you that cases of mine explosions in the Karabakh conflict zone occur regularly. Thus, on April 3, Azerbaijani soldier, Ilkin Bairam oglu Bairamov, was wounded by a mine explosion while searching for missing soldiers near the village of Sugovushan; later, he died in hospital.
