Two Azerbaijani construction workers injured in a mine explosion in Karabakh

Takhir Makhmudov and Yasin Mekhraliev, workers of a construction company, were injured in a mine explosion during reconstruction works in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in the Karabakh conflict zone, residents of Azerbaijan regularly get injuries and die as a result of mine explosions. So, on July 15, it became known that Ramal Odjagguluev, a resident of the Goygol District, was killed while being blown up by a mine during agricultural works.

On July 21, Takhir Makhmudov and Yasin Mekhraliev, two workers of a construction company working on the territory of the Khodjaly District (the Askeran District of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the “Caucasian Knot), were blown up by an anti-personnel mine, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent was informed by an official from the Prosecutor’s Office for the Khodjaly District.

Takhir Makhmudov and Yasin Mekhraliev got injuries of varying severity, the prosecutor added.

The total number of Azerbaijani civilians injured since November 10, 2020 in the conflict zone after the end of the combat actions has increased to 35. The number of wounded soldiers reached 86. Thirty people, including 23 civilians and seven soldiers died, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent has been informed today by an official from the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.
