Parents demand to complete building school in Karabulak

Residents of the town of Karabulak in Ingushetia went out to a rally near the building of the unfinished school, which officials have promised to open for three and a half years. In protest, parents decided not to send their children to other schools on September 1, Zarema Akhilgova, the head of the parent committee, has stated.

In the evening on August 4, in the city of Karabulak, parents gathered at the unfinished school; they have been waiting for its opening for more than three years. Initially, the builders promised to commission the school on September 1, 2019, Ms Akhilgova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, parents and children are sick and tired of hearing bureaucrats' promises for three and a half years. Addressing Mikail Balakhoev, the head of the Ministry of Construction of Ingushetia, who was present at this impromptu parent meeting, Zarema Akhilgova said that if the school is not commissioned by the start of the school year, then on September 1, parents will leave their children at home.

"We'll mark the Day of Knowledge in our own way. Nicely dressed pupils will come here, into the yard of the unfinished school; we'll congratulate them on the start of the school year, which for them this year will be held at home until the republic's leadership and the builders finally keep their word and finish to build the school," Ms Akhilgova has stated.
