Remains of two soldiers found in Nagorno-Karabakh

On September 7, as a result of searching works conducted near Varanda (the Azerbaijani name is Fizuli, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), the remains of two Armenian soldiers have been found, the Emergency Service (ES) of Nagorno-Karabakh has informed.

A forensic medical examination has been appointed with the aim to identify the remains. The total number of bodies and remains of Armenian military servicemen found in the conflict zone has reached 1659, says the post placed on the ES' Facebook page in the evening on September 7.

The hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were on from September 27 to November 9, 2020. On November 10, 2020, a peace agreement entered into force, according to which Baku gained control over the territories occupied during the war.
