Resident of Djebrail District blows himself by mine

During some repair and construction works in the Djebrail District, a local civilian was wounded by a mine explosion.

The accident occurred in the territory of the village Mekhtili, Djebrail District, which came under Azerbaijan's control (earlier it was part of the Gadrut District of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). Natik Mamedov, born in 1980, was wounded by a mine explosion, the "Haqqin.az" reports with reference to the Azeri General Prosecutor's Office (GPO). As a result, his leg was amputated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since November 10, 2020, when the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were stopped, to November 22, 2021, in the Karabakh conflict zone and on the border with Armenia, seven military servicemen and 27 civilians were killed by mine explosions, and 93 militaries and 42 civilians were wounded, the Azerbaijani GPO has reported. On November 29, two servicemen were hospitalized with wounds after a mine explosion in the Fizuli District, which has passed under Azerbaijan's control after the 2020 autumn war.
