Instagram administrators obey Kadyrov’s demand to remove criticism of Ingush people
The “Grozny” state-run TV Channel and administrators of Instagram public accounts removed a number of posts after Ramzan Kadyrov had ordered to remove from social media all hostile remarks against the Ingush people.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on January 15, Ramzan Kadyrov stated that during the three days, none of the residents of Ingushetia had responded to an invitation to personally express claims to the leader of Chechnya. According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the above fact demonstrates that the people of Ingushetia have no claims against him. On the same day, Chechen Minister for National Policy Akhmed Dudaev announced that Ramzan Kadyrov had ordered to remove from social media all hostile remarks against the Ingush people. The Chechen Minister announced a new page “beginning in the history of relations between the two fraternal nations.”
After Ramzan Kadyrov had ordered to remove negative allegations against the Ingush people from social media, in particular, posts on the Instagram account of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) devoted to mass gatherings in the villages of Benoi and Akhmat-Yurt, as well as in Gudermes and the Grozny mosque “Heart of Chechnya” became inaccessible. At those gatherings, officials and religious figures condemned “provocateurs” from Ingushetia.
Furthermore, the report of the “Grozny” ChGTRK about the speech of Mufti of Chechnya Salakh Mezhiev with criticism of Yakhya Khadziev, which was noticed on January 12 by jonah, a reader of the “Caucasian Knot”, was also removed.
The posts criticizing the Ingush people have been removed not only from the page of the “Grozny” state-run TV Channel. So, a post with the criticism of Abuzaid Vismuradov, Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya, against Khadziev was removed from the Instagram public account “ChP Chechnya”, and a post about a similar criticism voiced by Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, was removed from the Instagram public account “Chechnya Online”.
