Dagestani authorities react to protest of Kakashura villagers
Residents of the village of Kakashura, demanding to allocate land to them, achieved a meeting with Batyr Emeev, the Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan. If the land plot, which caused the villagers' conflict with district officials, is free, it will be transferred to villagers, Batyr Emeev has promised.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 9, Kakashura villagers held a protest action in Makhachkala because of the land conflict. The land belonging to the village of Kakashura was handed over for the deployment of the "Rosgvardiya" (Russian National Guard); in return, authorities promised to allocate a land plot near Kaspiysk, but failed to fulfil the promise, the protesters had complained.
Batyr Emeev, the acting First Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan, promised to study the information and take action, the "Chernovik" (Draft) portal has written.
The activists specified that about 300 people took part in the protest action; after Emeev's promise to clear out the situation, they dispersed, the "AIF Dagestan" reports.
