Native of Dagestani Rutul District perishes in Ukraine

Amrakh Kurbanov, a contract service sergeant, a native of the village of Gelmets, Rutul District, has perished in the special operation in Ukraine.

On February 26, the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, announced the first republic's casualty in Ukraine – a native of Dagestan, an officer, Nurmagomed Gadjimagomedov. After that, it became known about the death of several more Dagestanis.

As reported in his article by Bairam Abdullaev, the editor-in-chief of the "Nur" newspaper, Amrakh Kurbanov had participated in military operations; he died while performing his mission in Ukraine; he left a wife and three children behind.

Let us remind you that Gadjimagomedov was awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously. Sergey Melikov announced his death the day before the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) acknowledged losses among Russian militaries in Ukraine. On March 2, the MoD reported that 498 Russian servicemen perished in the special operation, and other 1597 persons were wounded.
