Chechen Djumaev transferred to colony where Navalny* is kept

Said-Mukhammad Djumaev, a native of Chechnya, sentenced to five years for using violence against law enforcers, has been transferred to Correctional Colony No. 2 in the city of Pokrov, Vladimir Region, where Alexei Navalny* is serving his sentence.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August 2021, Mikail Markhiev, also known as Said-Mukhammad Djumaev, was sentenced to five years in colony. He was found guilty of taking part in a clash with law enforcers at an action in support of the opposition leader, Alexei Navalny*. The Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial"** has declared Djumaev to be a political prisoner.

"Said-Mukhammad Djumaev was convoyed to the colony where Alexei Navalny* and Roman Pichuzhin (a participant in the protest action held in January 2021 in Moscow, convicted under the same article as Djumaev, – note of the 'Caucasian Knot') are serving their sentences," the project "Prisoners 212" has informed in its Telegram channel with reference to Djumaev's aunt.
