Prosecutor-General's Office has investigated the attack on capital of Kabardino-Balkaria in 2005

The investigation into the criminal case of the militants' attack on the city of Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, in October 2005 is over. The fact was declared today to the Parliament of Kabardino-Balkaria by Ivan Sydoruk, Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia for the South Federal District.

"A total of sixty defendants will face the trial. It will start this year in Nalchik," Mr Sydoruk said.

He has noted that the case is very huge, and it will be heard with participation of the Jury, the "Interfax" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that on October 13, 2005, over 200 armed militants, adherents of radical Islam, attacked the power agencies of Kabardino-Balkaria, a total of 11 objects. As a result of the attack, 14 peaceful citizens, 35 employees of power agencies and 92 militants were killed.
