Kadyrov criticizes CSTO heads for non-supporting Russia

Countries in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have received Russia's support, but their leaders, out of fear of sanctions, dare not publicly support Russia's actions in Ukraine, the head of Chechnya has stated.

Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, has stated that he treats the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) as quasi-states, and he is unlikely to recognize their independence.

Ramzan Kadyrov has criticized the CSTO leaders, who failed to express their clear position on Ukrainian events. He has stated in his video message posted on his Telegram channel that Russia is not benefiting from the CSTO, while, at the same time, Moscow is helping everyone.

Kadyrov has blamed the state heads for their fear to fall under sanctions. According to his version, Russia has saved Kazakhstan and Belarus, and played a key role in settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.

In March, Kadyrov also criticized Vladimir Medinsky, a presidential aide and the head of the Russian delegation at talks on Ukraine, who did not rule out a compromise with Ukraine.
