Dagestan: wife of detained resident of Kaspiysk claims his innocence
Murad Mitarov, a resident of Kaspiysk, was detained on suspicion of possessing firearms. His wife is sure that the pistol found during Mitarov's arrest is not his. According to her version, her husband was detained shortly after the conflict with law enforcers.
Murad Mitarov disappeared two days ago; his relatives could not get in touch with him, his wife told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"We engaged our acquaintances, and with their help only we could learn that he was kept at the police department," she said.
Their relatives managed to find out that Mitarov was detained because of a pistol found on him.
Mitarov is a good family man; he goes about his business and has never been involved in anything, his wife has noted. "But a couple of weeks ago, two policemen approached him in the park. My husband has slightly long hair, and because of this, a conflict broke out that turned into a brawl. Murad was detained, and then arrested for five days," the wife has explained.
The Kaspiysk City Court found Mitarov guilty of petty hooliganism and disobedience to a lawful demand of a state official.
