Lifting of COVID restrictions made it easier to provide charity on Eid al-Adha
The "Nadezhda" (Hope) Dagestani Fund has gathered 25 tons of meat for distribution to those in need on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Murad Kerimov, the head of the Fund, has informed, noting that the lifting of coronavirus restrictions has improved the conditions for holding charity events.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2021, due to the pandemic, at the requests from Makhachkala and other cities, the "Nadezhda" Fund organized sacrifices for Eid al-Adha, followed by freezing and gradual distribution of meat to those in need.
Mr Kerimov has added that on July 10, 2022, volunteers and "Nadezhda" activists arranged a free distribution of pilaf and an entertainment programme for children and adults in the Makhachkala park. Next week, the "Nadezhda" Fund team is planning to show a performance about the Eid al-Adha holiday. The removal of coronavirus restrictions has significantly facilitated the holding of such events, Murad Kerimov has added.
