Employee of Georgian Ombudsperson' office claims Soso Gogashvili's physical injuries
After meeting Soso Gogashvili, a detained former deputy head of the Georgia's State Security Service (SSS), Ketevan Khvedeliani, a staff member of the Georgian Ombudsperson, has confirmed that he had external bodily injuries.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 16, Soso Gogashvili, who had declared the day earlier that he possessed information about the rigging of the voting outcomes at the 2021 elections, was arrested in Georgia. His family members assert that law enforcers beat him up and planted weapons on him.
On July 17, the "Georgia-Online" reported citing Ketevan Khvedeliani, a staff member of the Georgian Ombudsperson, that the detained Soso Gogashvili had physical injuries.
After visiting Gogashvili, Ms Khvedeliani stated that he had swelling on his face, and bruises on his hands and feet.
She has added that Gogashvili claimed that a weapon had been planted on him.
