Third case on fakes initiated against editor-in-chief of "Fortanga"
Izabella Evloeva, the editor-in-chief of the Ingush outlet "Fortanga", has been accused of publishing unreliable information about the Russian Armed Forces on her Telegram channel. The criminal case under this article is the third one against her.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March, a criminal case was opened against Izabella Evloeva, a journalist from Ingushetia, who was charged with spreading false information about the use of the Russian Army. It happened after she placed a post about the participation of children in an action in support of the special operation in Ukraine.
In Ingushetia, law enforcers found a post on the Izabella's Telegram channel, which, in their opinion, contains "fakes" about the Russian Army. The maximum penalty under this article is 15 years of freedom deprivation.
Evloeva has been put on the wanted list, the "Dozhd" TV Channel** has reported on its Telegram channel.
Evloeva writes about events in the republic, including the conflict over the Chechen-Ingush borders and the persecutions of Ingush activists.
