Timashevsk and Labinsk deny solemn celebration of City Day

The heads of the Timashevsk and Labinsk Districts decided to cancel entertainment events and fireworks on the City Day because of the special military operation in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the head of the Krasnodar Territory decided to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the territory without fireworks and invited stars. A similar decision was made by the governor of the Rostov Region. In the Stavropol Territory, the Ataman of the Stavropol United District, Boris Pronin, turned to the head of the territory with a proposal to also abandon large-scale festivities for the period of the special military operation.

Following Krasnodar, it was decided to celebrate the City Day without fireworks and guest stars in the cities of Timashevsk on September 18 and in Labinsk on September 24. The corresponding decision was made by local authorities.

Vladimir Zaburaev, the head of the Labinsk District, wrote on September 16 on his Telegram channel that the decision had been made, as the country was living through a difficult time.

A similar decision was also announced by Andrei Palij, the head of the Timashevsk District. On the City Day, only district creative teams and the Kuban Cossack Choir will perform. "Now we must all unite and support those, who, at the cost of their lives, defend the interests of our state and our security," Mr Palij he wrote on his Telegram channel.
