Property of Said Amirov and his associates seized in favour of the state

The court has satisfied the claim of the Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) about the confiscation in favour of the state of the property of Said Amirov, a former Mayor of Makhachkala, his relatives and people associated with him convicted of organizing murders, banditry and preparing a terror act; the property is worth more than five billion roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Said Amirov headed the Makhachkala Mayoralty in 1998-2013, but in June 2013 he was detained, and in August 2015, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment on charges of organizing murders, banditry and preparing a terror act.

The "Kommersant" has written that today, on September 19, the Kirovsky District Court of Saratov has satisfied the claim of the Russia's GPO on confiscation in favour of the state of the property of the relatives of Said Amirov, a former Mayor of Makhachkala, and people associated with him.

The value of the property complex seized in favour of the state is more than five billion roubles, in particular, 356 real estate objects, including 173 land plots.
