Spokesman of court in Munich denies information about new questioning of Tumso Abdurakhmanov
Tumso Abdurakhmanov testified at the trial in the case on preparation of the murder of his brother, and the Chechen blogger is not expected to be re-questioned, said Laurent Lafleur, a spokesman for the Munich Higher Regional Court.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 1, the information appeared on the Internet about the murder of Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov in Sweden. The information was not confirmed by either his relatives or the authorities of Sweden, but a number of associates of Tumso Abdurakhmanov said that he could be killed or be under police protection. Chingiz Akhmadov, the director of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) said that the possible murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov could be organized by Akhmed Zakaev, who was criticized by the blogger. Tumso Abdurakhmanov will testify in the court in Munich, the “Sverigesradio” (Radio Sweden) reported.
No repeated questioning of Tumso Abdurakhmanov in the court in Munich is expected, the press service of the Munich Higher Regional Court reports. The series of court hearings will be ended on March 30.
The Chechen human rights association “Vayfond” reports that “they have lost contact with the victim Mukhammad Abdurakhmanov, an employee of the ‘Vayfond’.”
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 8, 2021, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported about an assassination attempt on his brother Mukhammad in Germany. According to the Chechen blogger, Tamerlan Aurbiev, a native of Chechnya, refused to kill Mukhammad and disclosed the name of an intermediary. The family of Tamerlan Aurbiev was evacuated from Chechnya.
