Adygea: Universal Declaration of Human Rights to be translated into the Adyg language
The World Adyg Brotherhood (WAB) has set an aim to translate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into the Adyg language. After translation, the document will be edited by one of professors of the Division of the Adyg Language at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University and sent to be included into the UN database.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from the WAB's President Zamit Shukhov. According to Mr Shukhov, the translation will help to disseminate the document in remote settlements and countries of compact residence of Circassians, where the Adyg language is the basic communication vehicle.
He added that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights had been translated into more than 366 languages of the world; the fact is in the Guinness Book of Records. The project of its translation into all the global languages is an indicator of the mankind's capabilities of fruitful cooperation.
