Volgograd resident from LPR brigade goes to court to request medical assistance and payments
Tlegen Islyamgaliev, a resident of Volgograd, volunteered for a brigade of the LPR (Lugansk People’s Republic) and was injured in the hostility zone. However, a hospital in Volgograd refused to make surgery for him. Tlegen Islyamgaliev demands surgery and combat payments, which he has not received, his lawyer Nikolai Lutsenko reports.
Tlegen Islyamgaliev has a wife and a young disabled child, Nikolai Lutsenko says.
“Apparently, due to the fact that he needed money for the medical treatment of his child, my client volunteered to join the LPR brigade. He was promised (one-time, monthly, and combat) payments there. In May 2022, he went to the brigade. Already on the third day, he was sent to the front line, without any training for a person who had never served in the army earlier. He participated in battles on ‘the very front line’ several times. He did not receive any promised payments there,” Nikolai Lutsenko reported.
According to the lawyer, Tlegen Islyamgaliev broke his leg during a battle, but the brigade did not provide him with medical care.
“He needs an urgent surgery ... We have filed a lawsuit demanding that Tlegen be provided with qualified medical care in a hospital at the expense of the state,” Nikolai Lutsenko said.
All military personnel have the right to free qualified medical care, emphasizes lawyer Sergei Ivaschenko.
