FSB Department for Dagestan officially confirms Khalilov's death
According to the statement of Vyacheslav Shanshin, head of the FSB Department for Dagestan, "liquidation of Rappani Khalilov was a logic end of a complex of operative actions accomplished under direction of the Federal Security Bureau (FSB) of Russia."
According to the information obtained by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, a proof of the fact that Rappani Khalilov was in Novy Sulak settlement of the Kizilyurt District was the arrival of his wife to the settlement; earlier she was the wife of another well-known militant - field commander Khattab.
We remind you that Rappani (Rabbani) Khalilov, whose body was found in the ruins of a house in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, is thought to be the author of more than 60 terror acts in Dagestan, including the explosion on May 9, 2002, during the parade in Kaspijsk.
In the course of the operation, two other militants were killed: Khalilov's helpmate Nabi Nabiev and an active member of illegal armed formations Abdurakhman by nickname, an old Khalilov's brother-in-arms, the "Interfax" reports.
