Mobilized man’s wife asks leader of Kabardino-Balkaria for help to their family
In her complaint to Kazbek Kokov, the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria, a spouse of mobilized Murat Tutov has claimed that their family with many children found itself in a difficult situation due to lack of payments, and the father of the family was diagnosed with serious illnesses after his participation in the special military operation and needs medical treatment.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 20, Kazbek Kokov announced that more than 400 million roubles had been allocated for payments to military personnel participating in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine. Some residents of the republic are not able to obtain payments, social media users claim.
The appeal of Zalina Tutova, a resident of the village of Kuba-Taba in the Baksan District, to Kazbek Kokov was posted on the website of the Kabardino-Balkarian Regional Human Rights Centre.
The woman explained that on September 30, 2022, her husband was called up for mobilization and sent to Ukraine. “Our pleas that he is the sole breadwinner of four children, including a child with disabilities, did not receive due attention. The authorities indicate that officially he is the father of only two children, and he is not subject to a mobilization deferment. I have two children from my first marriage, and my husband, although not their legal parent, cared for them as a father, helping them in everything,” emphasized Zalina Tutova in her appeal.
According to the woman’s claim, eight months after the mobilization, her husband was hospitalized with suspected tuberculosis. “Due to an initially incorrect diagnosis, the disease has worsened, and now we are awaiting surgery during which a part of his lung should be removed,” complained Zalina Tutova.
Furthermore, since November, Murat Tutov does not receive the cash allowances due to him as a participant of the special military operation, due to the fact that a criminal case has been instituted against him. The case was opened against my husband for allegedly leaving a military unit without permission. Although this is not true,” wrote Zalina Tutova.
