Tenants of 10-storey house in Krasnodar are afraid of "terror act"
Residents of the apartment block in Krasnodar, at No. 93 in the 40 Years of Victory Street, are convinced that a "terror act" is prepared, and sooner or later the gas main pipeline, which is now in the construction zone, will blow up, at a time destroying the newly built 16-storey house and all the surrounding buildings. The tenants are preparing documents for applying to the Arbitration Court.
According to Tatiana Balabanchuk, an employee of the Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus in Krasnodar, the tenants have invited experts of the "Krasnodargorgaz" City Gas Supply Entity to the construction site. The experts were horrified at seeing what was going on. On September 4, they issued a prescription to the directorate of the construction company to immediately stop the civil work and remove the fence from the gas main pipeline protection zone. However, the works go on, and the fence is not removed by becomes even longer.
The tenants are also using other forms of protest: they try to save the children's playground adjacent to the house and to protect the alley located in the "neutral territory," but their efforts are vain. On Friday, September 7, eight most active "saboteurs" were asked to write explanatory notes and emphatically promised to start "cases." However, it did not frighten away the tenants who are confident that another dirty construction adventure is committed there.
So far, their applications to Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachov and President of Russia Vladimir Putin remain unanswered.
Having learnt about the planned grandiose construction project to be implemented in the yard of their house, the tenants of the 10-storey building lodged an application to the administration of the city expressing their concern with violation of their legitimate rights and interests, as well as maintenance norms of gas mains and regulations on land use.
Apart from the above instances, the tenants sent their letters to the Prosecutor's Offices of the Krasnodar Territory, city of Krasnodar and Prikubanskiy District. The answer is the same: wait.
