Director of children's home accused of sexual abuse in Volgograd Region
A criminal case has been initiated in the Volgograd Region against director of the State Educational Establishment (SEE) "Rudnyanskiy Children's Home" on the facts of his sexual harassment of minor pupils of the establishment.
The prosecutor's office was informed about the facts of harassment by one of the pupils of this children's home; later inspectors made a revision of the facility. During the check 5 more boys confessed of being objects of sexual abuse by the director of the children's home.
In the end, the prosecutor's office has established that in the period from spring of 2004 to summer 2006 Vladimir Grebnev regularly invited, under various pretexts, pupils to his home and forced them to fulfil sexual actions. The exact number of children who suffered from director's actions has not been established yet. This is the information of the "Kommersant" reported with reference to the Investigatory Department for the Volgograd Region of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
According to the data of the Investigatory Committee, the defendant has pled guilty of the incriminated crimes.
Currently, the ex-director of the Rudnyanskiy Children's Home is at large under recognizance not to leave. According to the IA "Rosbalt", the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation assumes punishment of up to 4 years of imprisonment for this sort of crimes.
