Congress of Ingush Nation demands from Putin and Medvedev to set up order in Ingushetia

The delegates of the extraordinary Congress of Ingush Nation, who represent the country's civil society, have addressed President Vladimir Putin and First Vice-Premier Dmitri Medvedev with a question: "Until when will Murat Zyazikov's clique of bureaucrats execute their arbitrariness in Ingushetia?"

"The people of Ingushetia have an impression that the central power of Russia has no levers to affect the situation in the Republic," runs the statement addressed to the incumbent and future Russian presidents. "The present leadership of Ingushetia, acting contrary to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and all the legislative acts, is engaged in terror and outrage against their citizens - the Republic is dominated by arbitrariness of power structures, corrupted officials and bribe-takers, unemployment has reached extreme limits, while officials from the central machinery assert 'dynamical development of Ingushetia.'

All the attempts of the population of Ingushetia to reach any direct dialogue and interaction with the executive power of the Republic within the concept of 2005 administrative reform, and to voice their protest against corruption and violations of human rights, - end in repressive acts by Murat Zyazikov, who has mobilized all the law enforcement bodies for suppression of peaceful demonstrations and rallies," runs the message.
