David Sigua's relatives threaten to hold a protest action at the UN Mission in the capital of Abkhazia
On March 11, relatives and friends of David Sigua, who was kidnapped on February 3 this year from his own house in the city of Gall, blocked the entrance to the local United Nations Office.
It is already the second protest action of Sigua's relatives, who demand from the UN Mission to provide any information about David's whereabouts.
"Let me bury my brother in a decent way! Why our rights remain unprotected?" says David Sigua's sister. According to his wife, numerous appeals to international organizations and the United Nations gave no results. "For the second year already, I know nothing about my husband," Irina Pipiya said.
Avtandil Chkadua, Public Prosecutor of the Galskiy District, has stated that the investigation has incontestable evidences that Sigua was kidnapped by special services of Georgia and transported to the territory of Georgia. "Our multiple meetings with the Georgian party show that they are not ready to provide any information about him!" Mr Chkadua said.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that in the near future David Sigua's relatives and neighbours will hold a rally in Sukhumi near the main Office of the UN Mission.
