A mass fight between students from Armenia and Azerbaijan prevented in Moscow

On May 1, during a festive concert in the south-west of Moscow, on the territory of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples (RUDN), a mass fight was prevented between students from Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The festival of friendship of peoples "Planet South-West" is annually held at RUDN on May 1, where representatives of different university communities represent the culture of their nations.

Yesterday, at the moment when the ensemble representing the Armenian community was on the stage, plastic bottles were thrown at them from the audience. The riot squads pushed the offenders away from the stage. They were Azeri and Turkish young people.

Several minutes later the incident was repeated but the bottles were thrown at the Armenian students standing close to the stage and supporting the performers.

An Armenian girl suffered as a result. A bottle hit her in the face. Armenian students responded.

Several people were detained, including underage, but soon released, reports "PanARMENIAN.Net" agency.
