Georgian opposition continues its series of revelatory records

The United Opposition has promulgated another revelatory video record. It depicts Goderdzi Bukiya, one of the candidates from the party in power "United National Movement", who confesses that he is engaged in business.

Kakha Kukava, one of the leaders of the block "United Opposition: National Council - Right-Wingers" and leader of the Conservative Party, has stated in today's press conference that the video record was made during a meeting of the valid deputy of the present convocation parliament, who runs for deputy in the Hobsk Constituency, with the voters.

According to Mr Kukava, the Constitution and the Electoral Code forbid a candidate and an MP to be engaged in any sort of business.

"In the record Goderdzi Bukiya declares that he is 'a businessman in his spirit' and he has always been engaged in business, even when he became a MP. Also, Bukiya is making use of administrative resources during his pre-election campaign: governor of Samegrelo-Zemo in Svanetia Zaza Goroziya and other officials are active participants therein," Kakha Kukava has noted.
