Anti-monopoly agency makes "Dagestan Airlines" to reduce ticket prices
The commission of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service for the Republic of Dagestan has instructed the air-carrier "Dagestan Airlines" to reduce the unjustifiably high prices on passenger transportation.
"Upon the results of the analysis, the Russian FAMS on Dagestan has instructed the air-carrier to reduce the unjustifiably high prices on passenger transportation", the anti-monopoly service informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
During the check, it was established that the ОАО "Dagestan Airlines" violates the requirements of the current legislation not to exceed the 20 percent profitability for air transportation of passengers.
According to the calculations of Russian FAMS on Dagestan, the cost of an air ticket for the flight "Makhachkala-Moscow", which is profitable, is 6,363 rubles. Meanwhile, the ОАО "Dagestan Airlines" was selling such air tickets at more than 11,000 rubles.
The FAMS on Dagestan, upon the results of the check, has issued an instruction to stop violations of the anti-monopoly legislation by reducing the tariffs for passenger transportation and duly coordinate the tariff calculation with the allowable 20 percent level of profitability for air transportation by flights " Makhachkala-Moscow " with Russian FAMS on Dagestan.
It should be noted that, recently, there has been a sharp increase in prices for the flights of "Dagestan Airlines" with no additional services offered to passengers. Now, the cost of one-way flight from Makhachkala to Moscow is from 7,500 to 12,000 rubles.
