Abkhazia states aircraft intrusion into its air space

Today at night, an intrusion of an unknown aircraft into the air space of Abkhazia was prevented, as Anatoly Zaitsev, Chief of the Joint Staff of Armed Forces of Abkhazia, told the journalists.

According to his story, the aircraft gave no response to requests from the sea. "After one of the Russian warships now costing on Abkhazian water area made some warning volleys from its artillery installations, the aircraft left the republic's air space," said Mr Zaitsev, as quoted by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

We remind you that on August 9th Russian ships anchoring Abkhazian shore repelled an attack of Georgian missile boats. During the fight, one boat was run down.

We remind you also that on May 12 Abkhazia announced crushing down two reconnaissance drones belonging to Georgia; the total count of crushed down drones has reached seven.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that three Georgian reconnaissance drones were shot down within the time of conflict aggravation in South Ossetia.
