Social poll: war is the most dreadful thing for Georgians

The greatest fear for the population of Georgia is the war. This is the result of the sociological study entitled "What is the topmost topic for Georgia?" conducted in the country by the "Gallup" American Company.

The poll embraced 1500 persons, of whom 61 percent named the war as the greatest fear. In the second place is the degradation of relations with Russia, and in the third one - instable economic situation.

84 percent of respondents believe that "the Russian aggression goes on", 10 percent think that it was over but can resume. And only 5 percent of the respondents stick to the opinion that Russia's aggression was over and will never restart, as the "Rustavi-2" Georgian TV Company reports referring to the "Gallup" poll data.

The sociologists also asked whether the population of Georgia admit a possibility of internal political confrontation and whether they believe that everything should be done to preserve the domestic political stability. 86 percent of the respondents gave a positive answer to the latter question. And 81 percent think that the authorities and opposition should continue their dialogue, while only 8 percent believe that dialogue is no longer needed.
